Safety Manager
Location: Illinois & Missouri (Multi-site oversight)

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to lead and maintain a culture of safety across our operations in Illinois and Missouri. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety programs that ensure compliance with federal, Illinois, and Missouri labor laws while protecting employees, clients, and company assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs and policies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable Illinois and Missouri labor laws
- Conduct regular job site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and reporting documentation
- Provide safety training, onboarding, and ongoing education for employees
- Collaborate with management to continuously improve safety performance
- Monitor workers’ compensation cases and assist with return-to-work programs
- Stay up to date on changes in federal and state safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of safety management experience (construction/manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and multi-state compliance
- Professional certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, or CHST are a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to travel between Illinois and Missouri job sites

- Compliance with the Illinois Occupational Safety and Health Act (State & Public Sector where applicable)
- Adherence to the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act
- Enforcement of the Illinois Day and Temporary Labor Services Act (if applicable)
- Observance of the Illinois Human Rights Act (equal employment opportunity & anti-discrimination)
- Compliance with Illinois One Day Rest in Seven Act (ODRISA)
- Workplace safety training and reporting consistent with IDOL guidelines
Missouri Labor Law Considerations:
- Compliance with Missouri Minimum Wage Law
- Adherence to Missouri Workers’ Compensation Law
- Enforcement of Missouri Child Labor Laws (where applicable)
- Observance of Missouri Human Rights Act (anti-discrimination and harassment policies)
- Compliance with state-specific workplace safety and reporting requirements

- Full compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Adherence to Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
