Renaissance Historic Exteriors is actively hiring Experienced Skilled Trades Workers in Carpentry, Roofing, Masonry, and Sheet Metal to join our growing team. We specialize in historic preservation and restoration on landmark structures including universities, churches, municipal buildings, and historic estates throughout the Midwest.
If you’re a seasoned tradesperson who takes pride in craftsmanship and wants to work on meaningful, high-profile projects, we want to meet you.
Open Positions:
- Carpenters: Traditional woodworking, timber framing, structural repairs, millwork installation.
- Masons: Historic brick, stone, tuckpointing, mortar repair, masonry restoration.
- Roofers (Tile, Slate, Cedar & Steep-Slope): Slate and tile installation/repair, steep-slope systems, copper flashing.
- Sheet Metal Craftsmen: Custom fabrication, historic metalwork, copper work, flashing, and detail installation.
General Responsibilities Across Trades:
- Perform specialized work in your trade with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow historic restoration methods and guidelines.
- Work safely at heights and on active job sites.
- Travel to project locations throughout the Midwest (travel required).
- Work independently and as part of a professional, high-performing team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in one or more of the listed trades.
- Strong craftsmanship and pride in quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and scopes of work.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel as project locations vary.

- Competitive pay: $25.00–$50.00 per hour based on skills and experience.
