Renaissance Historic Exteriors is looking for experienced former Solar Installers who are ready to take their technical skillset and apply it to historic preservation and specialty roofing/trades work.
If you’ve worked in solar installation, you already have many of the core skills we value:
- Comfortable working at heights
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Precision, safety, and problem-solving
- Experience with roof systems, climbing equipment, heavy lifting, and hand/power tools

What You’ll Do:
- Assist with slate, tile, and copper roofing restoration.
- Support installation and repair on historic structures.
- Work hands-on with high-end materials.
- Travel across the Midwest for project work.
- Contribute to award-winning preservation projects.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in solar installation.
- Strong work ethic and comfort working outdoors.
- Ability to learn specialty roofing and historic preservation techniques.
- Willingness to travel for project-based work.
- Commitment to safety and craftsmanship.
