Sell solutions that preserve history. Build relationships that last as long as the buildings you serve.
Our sales team doesn't sell roofing — they solve problems on buildings that matter. A 19th-century church with failing slate. A State Capitol dome with deteriorating copper. A National Register estate with windows that haven't been touched in 50 years. Our Historic Building Specialists identify the problem, develop the solution, and guide the client through a process that often represents a significant investment in a building they deeply care about.
This is a consultative sales role that requires curiosity, integrity, and genuine respect for historic preservation. You'll use our structured Magellan Method assessment process and work closely with our production team to ensure every solution we propose is one we can deliver with excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Conduct on-site evaluations and comprehensive roof and exterior assessments using the Magellan Method.
• Develop detailed, solution-focused proposals that align with historic preservation standards, project budgets, and client timelines.
• Present and close value-based solutions with property owners, facilities managers, and historic preservation officers.
• Serve as the primary client liaison during project execution — managing change orders, timeline updates, and client communication.
• Maintain long-term client relationships, drive referrals, and re-engage past clients for ongoing maintenance and future projects.
• Participate in company-wide efforts to improve operations, systems, and client experience.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Strong consultative sales skills — you listen first, recommend second, and close with confidence.
• Interest in or knowledge of historic preservation, restoration, roofing, or construction — curiosity and respect for the subject matter are essential.
• Organized, accountable, and responsive — you manage a complex pipeline and multiple active clients simultaneously.
• A professional presence that earns the trust of discerning property owners.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• $50,000–$70,000/yr base — with performance opportunity above that.
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with field flexibility.
• Health Insurance, PTO, and company programs.
• Working on projects that appear in preservation journals, state historical records, and the National Register.
• A mission-driven company whose purpose is to preserve history — one building at a time.
